Karen J. Pillsbury passed away
peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in her home surrounded by family
members. She was born on December 3, 1931 in Spokane, WA.
She had a successful career and was employed at companies such as Wilson
Cannery, Tillie Lewis Foods and California Cedar Products. Throughout her life
she had many interests. She ran three miles a day until the age of 70, she was active in her church, sang in the choir and was
an avid Giant's fan. She was the loving mother to Ward "Skip" Tyler
(Marsha) of Fredericksburg, Virginia,
Michael Tyler (Mary-Lou) of Stockton, CA, Patty Reilly (Kelly) of Stockton,
CA and Greg Tyler (Jim Quast)
of Sacramento, CA. She is also survived by a stepson, Dan
Pillsbury, and two step-daughters, Carol Pillsbury and Jackie Pillsbury. One of
her greatest sources of pride and joy were her grandchildren. She was a devoted
grandmother of seven grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and four great-
grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Henderson, Nancy Gottberg, Susan McEnaney and
numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 29
years, Floyd Pillsbury, sister, Evelyn Spaeth and parents, John and Evelyn
Spaeth.
Family and friends are invited
to attend a Memorial Service celebrating Karen's life at 11:00 a.m. on Friday,
March 30, 2007, at Emanuel
