AMOUNT OF RAIN-FALL FOR 44 YEARS.

Below is a carefully prepared table, by Moses Eames, of the amount of rain-fall in each month of the years from 1846 to and including the year 1889. Of the 44 years there have been 22 years below and 22 years above the average. The yearly average for the 44 years has been 32.88 inches. The total amount for that time was 120.55 feet. Up to 1861 the observations were made in Rutland; after that date in the city of Watertown. The amounts are expressed n inches and hundredths of inches: --
