The British Government, at the instance of Mr. Everett, has consented to the release of the following persons , American citizens, now at Van Damien’s Land.

Hiram Sharp, John Gillman, Ira Polly, Orrin W. Smith, Bemas Woodbury, George T. Brown, Daniel L. Liskum, Robert Q. Collins, John Thomas and Edward A. Wilson.
