The bark, John Broden.

The bark John Broden arrived in port yesterday afternoon in a disabled condition, having sprung her foremast head in the bounds while passing through the Straits of Mackinaw. The mast had to be used rather gingerly on the passage, and the top gallant yard was sent down to relieve the strain. In making a loading at the Reciprocity elevator in tow of the tug Major Dana, the bark's topmast yard, which was braced up sharp but not cockbilled, fouled with the building and was broken.
