My genealogical search started about 10 years ago as a hobby. I became so wrapped-up in research, that I became an "unofficial" family genealogist. I am a RootsWeb sponsor and sponsor several surname mailing lists, Surname resource pages, and GenConnect Surname Board owner at RootsWeb.

Photocopies of records, abstracts, transcripts, photographs of home, tombstones, businesses ... anything you like (35mm & digital camera)

These are some of the resources that I use in my research:

Birth Records, Marriage Records, Death Records, Divorce Records, Wills / Probate Records, Census Records, Cemetery Records, Church Records, Newspaper Articles/Obituaries, Land Records, Naturalization Records, and other miscellaneous records.

Fees: Vary based upon service requested. Range is $2.00 to $10.00/hour

Document Retrieval: If you have the name, date, and exact location of a document (birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate, will, etc.) the fee is $2.00* per request + postage and copy fees.

Document Searches: Are performed at the standard rate of $5.00* per hour + costs of copies and postage. There is a ($5.00 minimum fee) for document searches.

For more complete genealogy research, tracing the ancestors of a given person, fees are $10.00* per hour ($50.00 mimimum) $5.00 for every hour over 5 + copy and postage fees.

Note: All photocopies and transcripts will be appropriately source documented. 

You will be provided with a professional research report as well as any of the following applicable items:
Decendancy Genealogical Report per surname $15.00 
Family Group Sheets $5.00 per specific family (not surname as a whole) 
Full Color Family Trees $10.00 
Relationship Charts per individual ancestor / descendant $3.00 

Mileage charge only for rush or special orders at a rate of $.25* per mile.

Charges for Census Research...Varies with census year and requirements.

*This fee is a research fee and applies whether the search is positive or negative for results.

***There is no guarantee that the document you are looking for will be found. Unfortunately, genealogy is not a "exact science" and often time just knowing that something or someone is NOT found in an area can be very valuable.***
