Carl E. Hart, 55, of 123 Plum St., died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, in Titusville Area Hospital. Born May 9, 1944, in Oil City, he was a son of David Hart Sr. and Goldie SHONTZ Hart. He lived in the Oil City area all his life. Mr. Hart had worked for Conrail as a tanker truck driver and also did track repair. He attended Mount Carmel Tabernacle. Mr. Hart was an avid fisherman. Surviving are two daughters, Charmaine Hart of Oil City and Penny BURCH of Daytona Beach, Fla. He also is survived by seven sisters, Marie FOX, Mrs. Jack (Vera) RENNINGER, Mrs. Edwin (Faye) WARNER and Mrs. Norman (Lois) CARSON, all of Titusville, Mrs. Albert (Norma) DALY of Oil City RD 1, Mrs. Larry (Thelma) SOUDERS of Oklahoma and Sue SHOUEY of Billings, Mont.; and a brother, Leroy Hart Sr. and his wife, Marilyn, of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David Hart Jr. and Walter Hart; and one sister, Betty Hart. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hutchinson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Wilbert Heckathorn, retired minister, officiating. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery. Mr. Harman had been employed as a truck driver by Hasbrouck Sand & Gravel, and also by Agway of Titusville. He was a member of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church. Mr. Harman was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his former wife, Eva Matha Harman of Pleasantville; two sons, Richard D. Harmon and his wife, Diane, of Pleasantville and Donald L. Harman of Madison, Wis.; a daughter and her husband, Diane and Jeffrey HANIWALT of Titusville RD 3; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Arthur Harman of Tionesta; three sisters, Mrs. Elda DAUM of Shippenville, Mrs. Glenna COONEY of North East and Mrs. Mae HARMAN of Lickingville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy Maybray, pastor of Titusville Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery, Pleasantville.

Florence Irene Hoffman, 89, of 317 Central Ave., died at 8:26 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, in Northwest Medical Center at Franklin. Born Oct. 7, 1910, in Oil City, she was a daughter of Perry and Edith VERNER MOORE. She lived in the Oil City area all her life. She was a member of Venus Pilgrim Holiness Church Mrs. Hoffman was a homemaker and an avid reader. She was married Aug. 9, 1933, to Elton N. '' Al'' Hoffman, who died Oct. 28, 1987. Surviving are a son, Elton E. Hoffman of LaMarida, Calif.; three daughters, Linda Hoffman, Ruth DeVAULT and Onieta Jane SAY, all of Oil City; 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by six sisters, Elva ORSENO and Betty PATTERSON of Franklin, Janet KARNS of Bradleytown, Alice PRESTON of Arizona, and Erla McCLEARY and Mildred CRAWFORD of Erie. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the Venus Pilgrim Holiness Church. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the church with the Rev. Donald Myers, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery. The Hutchinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Aldo '' Chas'' Luchini, 84, of Seminole, Armstrong County, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 23, 1999, in Jefferson Manor, Brookville. Born March 4, 1915, in Seminole, he was a son of August and Josephine BOHNAMINI Luchini. Mr. Luchini retired from Armstrong Cork after 27 years of service. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in New Bethlehem and the Holy Name Society of the church. Mr. Luchini also belonged to the Loyal Order of the Moose in New Bethlehem and was a past member of St. Charles Catholic Cemetery Association. He was married to the former Jessie CALTONI, who died June 23, 1981. Surviving are three brothers and their wives, Frank and Mildred Luchini and Reno and Margaret Luchini, all of Pittsburgh, and Joseph and Madeline Luchini of New York; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rena DETTER. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Rupert Funeral Home in New Bethlehem. A Christian vigil service will beheld at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Charles Catholic Church in New Bethlehem. The Rev. William Laska will be the presider. Interment will follow in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in New Bethlehem.

Florence Barber Proper, 94, of Bradford and Leesburg, Fla., died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, in Leesburg. Mrs. Proper resided at 352 W. Washington St., Bradford, and was a winter resident of Leesburg. She and her husband, James Proper, owned and operated Proper's Greenhouse in Bradford for nearly 40 years. Mrs. Proper had many relatives and friends in the Oil City and Clarion areas. Surviving are a brother, Lester H. Barber of Leesburg, Fla.; a daughter, Virginia CONFER of Bradford and Leesburg, Fla.; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home, Bradford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church in Bradford.
