Jack C. Biltz of 169 E. Bissell Ave., Oil City, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at the Presbyterian Home in Oil City. Born in Oil City, he was the son of the late Clifford J. and Gwendolyn BARTLETT Biltz. He was a graduate of Oil City Senior High School and Penn State University. Mr. Biltz was married Oct. 25, 1975, to the former Jeanette M. DEMMER, who survives. Mr. Biltz was employed at Worthington Corp. in Oil City and Buffalo, N.Y. as a metallurgical engineer. He later worked at Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp. in Oil City as a plant metallurgist and superintendent. Mr. Biltz was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Franklin and served on the church council until his illness. He was very active with the Boy Scouts in the Colonel Drake District for many years, serving on the council board. He was also involved with Eagle and Explorer scouting as well as the Order of the Arrow. He received the Silver Beaver Award at a conference in California. Mr. Biltz was a life member of the Oil City BPOE and the National Rifle Association. He also was a past president of the Izaak Walton League. He held offices in the American Society of Metals, the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing and the American Iron and Steel Institute. Mr. Biltz belonged to Oil City F&AM Lodge No. 710, the Valley of Oil City, the Valley of New Castle, the Zem Zem Shrine Temple of Erie and the Northwestern Pennsylvania Shrine Association. In addition to his wife, Mr. Biltz is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Charlotte Bartlett, and John and Mary Denzer Biltz. He was the last surviving member of his family. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Grace Luther an Church in Franklin with the Rev. Frederick G. Keller officiating. Interment will follow in Cal vary Cemetery. Bernard J. Beichner, 85, of Shippenville RD 1, died Friday evening, Nov. 12, 1999, at Northwest Medical Center in Franklin. Born June 7, 1914, in Shippenville RD 1, he was a son of Charles H. and Clara DENSLINGER Beichner. He was married June 17, 1943, to Bernice WEAVER, who survives. Mr. Beichner was a lifelong resident of Shippenville RD. He was a self-employed dairy and beef cattle farmer. He was also a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. Mr. Beichner was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg and a member of St. Michael Society of the church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Bernard Beichner Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Shippenville RD 1, Raymond Beichner and his wife, Amy, of Cranberry, and Mark Beichner and his wife, Theresa, of Shippenville RD 1; and seven daughters, Mrs. Larry (Mary Rose) BEVERIDGE of Albion, Mrs. Cletus (Patricia) SCHILL of Glenshaw, Mrs. John (Catherine) SCHILL Sr. of LaGrange, Ohio, Clare Marie SSJ of Sharon, Mrs. Robert (Eileen) DETRIE of Penfield, N.Y., Mrs. Rodney (Ruth) OCHS of Fair mount City and Mrs. Harlan (Margaret) Yeany of Fairmount City. Also surviving are one brother, Charles H. Beichner Jr. of Shippenville; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) AARON of Marble; 24 grandchildren and one greatgrandson. Mr. Beichner was preceded in death by one sister, Frances FESENMYER. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Faller Funeral Home in Fryburg. A parish vigil service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Church in Fryburg with the Rev. William Driscoll, church pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Msgr. Theobald Fund of St. Michael Church.

Margaret M. Coburn, 71, a six year resident of Beverly Health Care-Oil City, formerly of West Third Street, died at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Northwest Medical Center in Franklin. Born July 4, 1928, in Oil City, she was a daughter of Mahlon and Pauline CLARK WILLIAMS. Mrs. Coburn was a bartender at the Oil City VFW for 20 years. She was an avid bingo player. On Jan. 21, 1948, she married Harvey L. Coburn Jr., and he pre ceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1983. She is survived by four sons, Gary Coburn of Oil City, Larry Bell and his wife, Betty, of Oil City, Rick Coburn of Oil City and Tracy Scott Coburn of Florida; and five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Sherry) HOOVLER of Franklin, Mrs. Boyd (Vicki) GOUGHLER, Mrs. Richard (Debra) MYERS and Ginger COBURN, all of Oil City and Janet Coburn of Sapulpa, Okla. Also surviving are a sister, Helen HAWKS of Oil City; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Shaw Farm Cemetery.

Michael Jay Craig, 27, of Seneca RD 2, formerly of the Knox area, died late Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born July 1, 1972, in Clarion, he was the son of Barbara BOOCKS Craig and the late Jay Howard Craig. A graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School, he was a drummer in the band there. Mr. Craig was a partner with Porch View Soft Ware in Oil City. He enjoyed computers, guns, bowling and spending time with his friends. Mr. Craig was a member of First United Methodist Church in Clarion. In addition to his mother, Barbara Craig of Seneca RD 2, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Boocks of Knox RD 3; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, who died March 3, 1982, he was pre ceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Hilda Craig, and his maternal grandfather, Oddis Boocks. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday in the William N. Rupert Mortuary in Knox. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. William Lavelle, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Clarion, officiating. Interment will follow in Starr Cemetery, Knox RD 1. Julia E. Koszalka, 81, of 3 Chautauqua Court, died at 11:32 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at her home following an extended illness. Born Feb. 16, 1918, in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Ignacy and Waleria SIBIELEC Koszalka. Ms. Koszalka attended Oil City schools and graduated from nursing school in Philadelphia. She worked at the Oil City Hospital for a short period of time. She then entered the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during World War II, retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel after 26 years. She was a member of Assumption BVM Church, the Golden Agers, the YWCA Gallivanters, the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Retired Army Nurses Association. Ms. Koszalka is survived by three brothers, Chester Koszalka of Oil City, Edmund Koszalka of Kansas City, Mo., and Alex Koszalka of Rochester, N.Y.; and two sisters, Stella G. KOSZALKA of Oil City and Wanda CLANCY of Palm Bay, Ala. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Assumption BVM Church with the Rev. William J. O'Brien, Assumption pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Reinsel Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County or to the Assumption BVM Church development fund.

Donna Mae Mikita, 69, of Rural Valley RD 1, Cowanshannock Township, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, in the Armstrong County Health Center. Born July 5, 1930, in Rimers burg, she was a daughter of Miles S. SWITZER and Olive M. RUSH Switzer. On June 11, 1949, she married Joseph Mikita, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this June. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Mikita was a member of NuMine Presbyterian Church, the Ladies Concerned Hearts Circle of her church, the Senior Sensations, the Rural Valley senior citizens group, the Stitching Neighbors and the Blanco, County, state and national granges, where she was a Seventh Degree member. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking and crocheting. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Samuel E. Mikita and Michael S. Mikita, both of Rural Valley RD 1; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Barbara J.) GALBRAITH of Rural Valley RD 1; six grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Clair Switzer of Manlius, N.Y., and Gary Switzer of Streetsboro, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. John (Jean) HORNER of Parker RD 1. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruth Ann Mikita in 1962; a grandson, Eric Lee Galbraith on Nov. 5, 1998; and an infant great-granddaughter. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Bauer Funeral Home in Kittanning. Grange services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at NuMine Presbyterian Church with the Rev. T.R.R. Stull officiating. Interment will be in Rural Valley Cemetery.
