LeRoy Edward Albaugh, 70, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lakewood, N.Y., formerly of Oil City RD 2, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, in the Hospice of the Valley Care Unit in Sun City, Ariz. Born Nov. 12, 1928, at Oil City RD 2, he was a son of Roy and Helen DIETRICH Albaugh. He was a 1946 graduate of Shippenville High School and attended Georgia Tech, the University of Pittsburgh and Gannon University. Mr. Albaugh served in the Navy during World War II and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.He was a dispatcher for National Fuel Gas in Oil City, retiring in 1989 after 36 years of service. Mr. Albaugh was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Oil City. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent many enjoyable hours with friends on Chautauqua Lake in New York. Mr. Albaugh was married in the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Venus Nov. 15, 1949, to Mary Eva AUSEL, who survives.Also surviving are a daughter, Yvonne PARANICK, and her husband, Ron, and two stepgranddaughters, Megan and Amber, of Cranberry; and a son, Christopher Albaugh of Los Lunas, N.M. Also surviving are two sisters, Marian FESENMYER and her husband, Charles, of Venus and Carol Albaugh of Oil City; two brothers, Gail Albaugh of Venus and Fred Albaugh and his wife, Mary, of Fort Worth, Texas; two nieces; and three nephews. Best Funeral Services of Phoenix, Ariz., is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, in the Desert Shadows interdenominational Church in Phoenix, Ariz. The family requests memorials be made to a charity of one's choice.

Andrew James Horner, 22, of 1404 Sunset Ave., Franklin, died at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, in Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born July 29, 1977, in Oil City, he was a son of James E. and Kathryn A. O'POLKA Horner. He attended Franklin High School. Mr. Horner had a keen interest in music and enjoyed playing guitar. He attended several area Bible studies. Mr. Horner was social and enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Surviving are his mother, Kathryn A. Horner of Franklin; his father and stepmother, James E. and Johanna Horner of Franklin; a sister, Ellie Horner of Franklin; and two stepsisters, Stephanie GUENTHER and Alyssa Guenther, both of Franklin. He also is survived by his maternal grandmother, June O'Polka of Franklin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Peter O'Polka; his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Horner; and a cousin, Emily CAROTHERS. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin. A vigil service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick Church with the Rev. John J. Herbein, pastor, as the presider. Interment will be in Shaw Farm Cemetery. Charlene Rae Westlake McCalmont, 28, of 105 Hone Ave., died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1999, in Cornplanter Township. Born Feb. 18, 1971, in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of Larry L. and Patricia BEAR Westlake. Mrs. McCalmont had lived in the Oil City area most of her life. She was a graduate of DuBois Business College where she received a master's degree in computer management. Mrs. McCalmont was the office manager for the past two years at Jelco Metals in Franklin. She was married Sept. 3, 1999, to Frank P. McCalmont, who survives. Also surviving are her father, Larry L. Westlake of Pine City; two sons, Frankie and T.J., both of Oil City; two daughters, Carli of Oil City and Brittany of Utica; and one brother, Jim Westlake of Oil City. She also is survived by her paternal grandmother, Hazel AIKENS of Oil City; her maternal grand mother, Thelma GRAHAM of Akron, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and inlaws. She was preceded in death by her mother. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hutchinson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.

Ramon E. Whitehill, 76, of 705 Allegheny Ave., died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, in St. Vincent Health Center, Erie. Born June 25, 1923, in Oil City, he was a son of Guy and Mae MAHLE Whitehill. Mr. Whitehill was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in Burma and India. He was a staff sergeant. He was an office worker at National Fuel for 20 years, then worked as a payroll clerk at Oil well Supply where he retired after 19 years of service. Mr. Whitehill was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling. Mr. Whitehill was married in October 1948 to the former Catherine LANDER, who survives. Also surviving are a stepson, Lake Hulings of El Paso, Texas; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Diane) JAMIESON of Southgate, Calif.; six stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, Richard '' Dick'' Whitehill of Lewiston, N.Y. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. John Friggle officiating. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Beverly Healthcare Oil City.
