Helen Marie Karns White, 58, of Oil City RD 2, died at noon Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at her residence. Born Sept. 29, 1941, in Pleasantville, she was a daughter of the late Ordell and Jean BLAUSER Karns. She was a 1959 graduate of Cranberry High School. Mrs. White was employed nine and a half years as a courier for Purolator Courier Co. She also drove a school bus six years for Cranberry High School. She attended the Heckathorn United Methodist Church. Mrs. White enjoyed sewing, reading and having fun with family and friends. She was a youth leader and a den mother for Club Scouts. Mrs. White had received a lung transplant and, prior to her death, wrote the following: "In August of 1994, I received a single lung transplant and had a really great four years. Two tiny people, Kyle and Katie (Hanna), came into my life. I'm truly blessed." They are the grandchildren of her special friend, Rose Best of Oil City. She was married Oct. 10, 1959, to Richard Eugene White, who survives. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Matthew A. White of Oil City; and a daughter, Melissa J. White of Ahrensville. She also is survived by two brothers and their wives, Kenneth and Carol Karns of Tippery and Phillip and Robin Karns of Fredonia, Pa.; a sister and her husband, Linda and John COWDER of Dunmore; and several nieces and nephews. The Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County.

Nettie L. Rynski, 62, of 1002 Elk St., Franklin, died at 10:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at her residence. Born Feb. 10, 1937, in Roulette, She was a daughter of Felix and Delores KINDERMAN CHMIEL. Mrs. Rynski was a homemaker and a Catholic. She was married in 1957 to Leon Rynski, who died Oct. 17, 1973. Surviving are three sons and their wives. John and Nancy Rynski of Sloan, N.Y., Felix and Lorraine Rynski of Franklin and Leon and Roberta Rynski of Buffalo, N.Y.; two daughters, Delores Rynski of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Karen Rynski of Chow Chilla, Calif.; and nine grandchildren, April MARUFFO and Teresa ABUNDIS, both of California, Ticia Rynski, David Rynski, Samantha Rynski, Candice Rynski and Lee Rynski, all of Buffalo, N.Y., and Preston Rynski and Jasmine Rynski, both of Franklin. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Rynski was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Rynski. The Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, in St. Patrick Church, Fanklin. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Buffalo, N.Y. Memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County.

William P. Gorsuch, 92, formerly of Titusville RD 5 and Garden Street, Titusville, died at 12:07 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, in Beverly Healthcare-Oil City, where he had been a resident since June 1993. Born March 26, 1907, in Troy Township, Crawford County, he was a son of Paul and Elizabeth STRAWBRIDGE Gorsuch. Mr. Gorsuch was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed farmer and was a member of the National Grange of Husbandry for more than 55 years. Mr. Gorsuch was a member of St. Titus Church, Titusville. He was married in St. Michael Church, Fryburg, Sept. 1, 1951, to the former Julia P. KARG, who died Aug. 8, 1993. Surviving are three sisters, Sara Gorsuch, Esther GARFIELD and Helen Gorsuch, all of Titusville RD 3; two nephews, Bill Garfield of Erie and Ted Garfield of Titusville RD 3; three great-nieces and two great-nephews. He also is survived by two sister-in-law, Grace Karg and Helen PERRETT, both of Oil City. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Leo N. Hennes Funeral Home, Titusville. Sr. Mary Edith, pastoral assistant of St. Titus Church, will conduct a Christian wake service at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Visitation will continue in the gathering space of St. Titus Church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the church with the Rev. John J. Detisch as the presider. Interment will be in St. Catharine Cemetery, Titusville. Memorials may be made to St. Titus Church Endowment Fund, 513 W. Main St., Titusville, or to a charity of one's choice.

Belva Eleanor Allio, 56, of Tionesta, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, in Beverly Healthcare-Titusville. Born Aug 16, 1943, in Grove City, she was the sixth of 12 children born to the late James Raymond and Hazel Jane LaVAN Allio. Miss Allio spent most of her childhood in a cast or brace but was able to walk across the stage to receive her diploma at graduation in 1962 at West Forest High School, Tionesta. Even through she had lifelong health problems, she continued her education and became a lab technician, working in Oil City Hospital, Dover General Hospital in Dover, N.J., and Brookville Hospital. Miss Allio was involved with 4-H and had won a number of local and county awards, as well as representing Forest County in statewide events. She was a 4-H junior leader. She attended the Tionesta Church of God and taught Sunday School. Surviving are five brother and their wives, Wilbur and Molly Allio of Subiaco, Ark., James N. and Margaret Allio of Zephrhills, Fla., William and Robin Allio of Warren, Pa., John A. and Eileen Allio of Tionesta and Mac and Barb Allio of Eustis, Fla.; four sisters, Bea DECKER of Slippery Rock, Betty RICHARDS and her husband, Larry, of Tallahassee, Fla., Bonnie SCHULZ of Clarion, and Beverly POOLE and her husband, Mike, of Indianapolis, Ind.; 25 nieces and nephews; 23 great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-niece. She also is survived by two aunts, Mabel Allio ANDERSON of Sun City, Ariz., and Velma LaVan of Knox. In addition to her parents, Miss Allio was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas David Allio in 1970 and Donald Lee Allio Sr. in 1983; two nephews, James Edwards Richards in 1971 and Adam Lorenzo Richards in 1976; and one great-niece, Yvonne Marie DEWEES in 1998. The Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta is in charge of arrangements. There will be no public visitation. Friends are welcome to attend memorial services at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Tionesta Church of God with Pastor Randy L. Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Amity Lutheran Cemetery in Newmansville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tionesta Church of God Memorial Fund or to the Tionesta Library.

Gregory Bryon Harris, 43, of 22944 Flick Road, Saegertown, a licensed massage therapist and son of Elmore "Cootie" Harris of Meadville, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, in Beverly Healthcare-Meadville.
