Harry H. "Hud" Vogle, 96, of Sligo, died at 3:55 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, in Clarview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Sligo RD 1, where he had resided since October 1998. Born Oct. 31, 1902, in Sligo, he was a son of George W. and Alice DAVIS Vogle. Mr. Vogle was employed for 44 years in the coal mines surrounding the Sligo community and worked three years for PennDOT prior to his retirement. He worked several years for the Borough of Sligo following his retirement. Mrs. Vogle was married in Limestone on Aug. 22, 1923, to Sarah Veotto REARIGH, who died Feb. 9, 1997. The Vogles were married for 74 years. He and his wife were charter members of the Nazarene Church in Sligo. Mr. Vogle enjoyed his woodworking shop where he crafted many ornaments and furniture. He especially enjoyed displaying his handmade 17-piece nativity scene during the Christmas holiday season. Surviving are a son and his wife, Carl H. "Ike" and Beatrice A. Vogle of Sligo; two daughters, Mrs. Isabell V. HENRY of Rimersburg and Mrs. Ronald E. (Gladys A.) WETZEL of Sligo RD 1; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Vogle was preceded in death by a son, Connell C. Vogle, Nov. 13, 1996; a grandson, Connel Clair "Butch" Vogle, Oct. 15, 1972; two brothers, George Vogle in 1979 and Paul Vogle in February 1908; and two sisters, Miss Margaret Vogle, Sept. 26, 1972, and Mrs. Bertha BENN, March 5, 1995. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home, Rimersburg. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Piper, pastor of Sligo Church of God, officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery, Frogtown, Clarion County. Schuster, 80, of Tionesta, formerly of McCandless Township, Pittsburgh, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born April 4, 1919, in Elk County, she was a daughter of Samuel and Annie WATSON LOMAS. Mrs. Schuster was a member of St. Anthony Church in Tionesta. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Schuster was married to Regis Schuster, who preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughers, Donna M. DOUGLASS of Columbus, Ohio, Joan A. GRAY of Houston, Texas, and Debra M. MAMULA of Bradford Woods; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Ida MANNING of Orange County, Calif.; and a brother, James OLIVER of Bentleyville. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Schuster was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlane G. SUMMERILL; a brother, William Lomas; and a sister, Ruth Lomas. The H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, is in charge of arrangement. There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Anthony Church, Tionesta, with the Rev. David Foradori, pastor, as the presider. Jeannetta M. Myers, 94, of 65 Siverly Ave., died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at her residence. Born Jan. 13, 1905, in Oil City, she was a daughter of John E. and Mary Jane SCHWAB Myers. Miss Myers was a lifelong resident of Oil City and graduated in 1923 from Oil City High School. She retired in 1970 from Quaker State after 46 years of service. Miss Myers was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oil City. Surviving are three nieces, Joan SMITH and Ruth CESNA of Erie and Elsie BURR of Conneaut, Ohio. Miss Myers was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clifton L. Myers of Albuquerque, N.M. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Morrison Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery.
