Oral G. "Jake" Jacobs, 80, of Emlenton RD 2, died Sept. 9, 1999, in Buchanan Commons in Grove City from an extended illness. Born Dec. 6, 1918, in Scrubgrass Township, he was a son of Harrison F. and Francis SLOAN Jacobs. He was married June 27, 1944, to the former Gladys D. RIDDLE, who survives. Mr. Jacobs retired from Hickman Lumber in Lisbon after 30 years of service. He had worked loading and unloading trucks, as well as driving a delivery truck He attended the Rankin Chapel Church. Mrs. Jacobs attended the Lovell School in Scrubgrass Township. He enjoyed hunting and outdoor activities. In addition ot his wife, Mr. Jacobs is survived by three children, Robert G. Jacobs and his wife, Jean, of Cape Coral, Fla., Raymond E. Jacobs and his wife, Wanda, of Clintonville, and Mrs. Donnie P. (Rondia D.) BARGER of Emlenton RD 2; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Edith) MAYLE of West Sunbury and Mrs. Ronald (Isabel) HOWARD of Ridgeville; and 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by one brother, Orris Jacobs. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home, 103 Emlenton St., Clintonville. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Dr. Charles Vanderhoff officiating. Interment will follow in the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery in Clintonville. The family suggest memorial contricutions be made to the Emlenton Ambulance Service, the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County or the Area Agency of Aging.
Glenn S. Wolfe, 83, of Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Clarion, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at the Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill. Born on Oct. 24, 1915, in Clarion, he was a son of George T. Wolfe and Margaret A. CARSON Wolfe. On Sept. 23, 1935, he married Lois C. GORDON and she survives. Mr. Wolfe was a glass techniian and worked at Owens Illinois in Clarion and Toledo, Ohio. He was Presbyterian. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James E. Wolfe of Summerville, Ore., and Glenn Richard Wolfe of Spring Hill; a brother, Harry Wolfe of St. Marys; two sisters, Jeraldine SILBERMAN of Pittsburgh and Catherine W. KEHOE of Clarion; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter; one granddaughter; tree sisters; and six brothers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Kirk Orr, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Clarion Cemetery.
