Goldie B. Haun, 89, of Franklin RD 2, died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, in The Caring Place, Franklin. Born Oct. 7, 1909, in Bredinsburg, she was a daughter of George and Lulu Mae ELLIOTT FRIGGLE. Mrs. Haun was a well-known seamstress in the area. She also was an excellent cook and put on cooking demonstrations for the gas company and Super Maid. She worked several years on the election board. Mrs. Haun was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Franklin, where she was active in the Missionary Society and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She had been a member of the Pins and Needle Club. Mrs. Haun was married Oct. 16, 1940, to Carl A. Haun, who died Dec. 19, 1970. Surviving are a nephew and his wife, The Rev. Jack and Sandra Friggle of Oil City; and a nephew, Duane BOUGHNER of Long Beach, Calif. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Haun was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Friggle; a brother and his wife, John and Alberta Friggle; and a niece, Mrs. Duane (Barbara) Boughner. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Huff Chapel, Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Frank Hodges, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, Franklin, officiating. Interment will be in Bredinsburg Cemetery.
