Charles B. Miller, 59, of 1557 Limestone Road, Summerville, died Thursday evening, Aug. 19, 1999, at Clarion Hospital. Born June 18, 1940, in Punxsutawney, he was the son of the late Lambert Miller and Violet HINDERLITER Miller of Mayport RD 2. On July 6, 1963, he married Judy STAHLMAN Miller, who survives. He was a self-employed welder, and he owned and operated Charles Machine Inc., of Limestone. He was of the Protestant faith. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by three sons, Brian Miller and his wife, Millene, of Mayport, Bradley Miller of Summerville, and Brent Miller and his wife, Jayme, of Summerville; two grandchildren, Braden Miller and Marissa Miller, both of Mayport; and a sister, Mrs. Jack (Marilyn) TRIPLETT of Charlotte, N.C. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday in the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Dr. David R. Wright presiding. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery in Frogtown. Dora E. Adams, 95, of New Bethlehem, died Thursday evening, Aug. 19, 1999, at Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo. Born June 22, 1904, in Mahoning Township, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Elizabeth BURDETT JEWART. She was married June 17, 1925, to Francis Adams, who preceded her in death in 1978. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker. She was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Adams is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marshal (Ione) MILLER of Templeton and Mrs. Bob (Edna) HELLER of Kingsville; two sons, John W. Adams, and his wife, Marie, of Seminole, and Edward "Jack" Adams and his wife, Anna, of Numine; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband,she was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Lee; one granddaughter, Nancy; and one great-granddaughter, Terry Marie. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Reuper Funeral Home in New Bethlehem. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ben Shindledecker officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery on Beautiful Lookout.
Carol Lynn Sayers, 35, of Olean Trail in Summerville, Limestone Township, Clarion County, died Friday, August 20, 1999, at her residence. Born April 8, 1964, in Clarion, she was the daughter of James R. and Helen BROOKS SLAGLE. She was married Sept. 27, 1986, to Rodney A. Sayers. Mrs. Sayers was a member of Leasure Run United Methodist Church, New Bethlehem RD 3. She was a district coordinator and troop leader for the Clarion Area Girl Scouts. A member of the Clarion-Limestone PTO, her favorite hobbies were flowers, gardening and crafts. Mrs. Sayers worked as a manager at Wendy's from 1982 until 1993. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kristen Lynn Sayers and Kaitlin Noel Sayers, both at home; one brother, James R. Slagle Jr. and his wife, Lynette, of Knox; and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Mabel Brooks and James and Matilda Slagle.
