LEES was assigned to the Troop C area and was first assigned to headquarters in Punxsutawney, then transferred to the substations in Clarion County. ...The father of two daughters and one son, Cpl. LEES was a part of the special vice squad task force which combated the use of illegal drugs in western and northern Pennsylvania. ...A scuba diver, Cpl. LEES also was often called upon to enter search and rescue missions involving tragedies in area waterways, among those where several in the Clarion River. ...A graduate of Swissvale High School, he was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division specializing in skiing, jumping and jungle survival. ...He enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police on October 26, 1958 and graduated from the PSP Academy in Hershey on April 15, 1959. ...For his investigative work into vice activities, involving the illegal use of drugs and gambling, Cpl.
