WIANT, 53, of Star Route, Meadville, died Sunday, August 15, in Hamot
Medical Center, Erie. Mr. WIANT was the owner and operator of Fairview
Dairy Farm, Meadville, for 28 years. Born May 29, 1923, at New Bethlehem,
he was a son of A. Banks and Gladys (BURNS) WYANT. He was married to L.
Clair SHOOK, who survives. Also surviving are: his mother, Mrs. Gladys
WYANT of New Bethlehem RD2; five daughters, Mrs. Daniel J. (Audrey) MOYER,
Mrs. Lyle (Kathy) LOUCKS and Mrs. Larry (Jean) GANSTER, all of Meadville,
Mrs. Terry (Gail) AGNER of Columbus Grove, Ohio, and Miss Laurie WIANT, at
home; one son, Daniel WIANT, at home; seven grandchildren; six brothers,
Max WIANT of Coraopolis, Arnold, Roy and Arthur WYANT, all of New
Bethlehem, Harold WIANT of Wayne and Dean WYANT of Kentucky; and four
sisters, Mrs. Helen MAYES of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Arlene GRAKALSKIS of
Fairmount City, Mrs. Dorothy BLAIR of Brookville and Mrs. Larue KENNEDY of
Freeport. Mr. WIANT was preceded in death by his father and a brother,
Hilton WIANT. Funeral services were conducted today (Wednesday) at 3 p.m.
in the Curllsville United Church of Christ, with the Rev. William A.
SMITH, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church in Meadville,
officiating. Interment was in the Squirrel Hill Cemetery in Porter
Township. Arrangements were by the Hathaway Funeral Home, Meadville. |
