These children all came from Washwell House Painswick to Marchmont House Belleville, Ont.
From the annual report for Marchmont in 1887, Miss Bilbrough (Mrs. Wallace) was mentioning
some of the organizations which had brought children that year:
"Miss Wemyss' pleasant cottage homes in Painswick,
a little country village on the Cotswold hills, Gloucestershire."
