FROM Neil Daniels: My Great Grandmother, Rachel Daniels, arrived May 30, 1870 at the Port of Quebec on the SS Moravian along with 19 boys and 11 girls, ages 14 thru 18, sponsored by the Ragged Schools of East London, Earl of Shaftesbury, President. SS Moravian on May 30, 1870 group of 10 "spinsters" from the Ragged Schools in East London.

BUCK, Mary 16 DANIELS, Rachael 18 DILLY, Caroline 16 EATON, Mary A. 17 FULLER, Isabella 17 HALL, Sarah 16 LANE, Ellen 17 PERCIVAL, Maltilda 14 RAYBURN, Elizabeth 15 SOANE?, Annie 16 In the two adjacent compartments were 19 males between the ages of 14 and 17 also from the Ragged School of East London. The Notation on the Passenger Manifest indicate that 20 boys and 12 girls on board from the Ragged Schools, Earl of Shaftesbury, President.
