PLACEMENT OF MR PADY CHILDREN 1890 - 1894 





This information is the result of much hard work by Gail Thomson
I have transcribed some of the placements of children under the care of Mr. Pady, various years, 1890-1894. The placement information is minimal, rarely is a first name or initial given, the address is sometimes impossible to figure out as to whether in some cases it is a street address or a place and Emerson is reported as being in Quebec, Manitoba, not province specific or Canada. Following these sheets of placements were also letters from the Canadian Gov't that Mr. Pady needed to have a proper receiving home for the children, better records had to be kept of their placement, also a newspaper article about younger boys being left to fend for themselves, a number of them were found wondering the streets. I only found letters from the Gov't but I couldn't find any response from Mr. Pady in this particular file.
