King's Study
The Clouser Castle is a process undertaken in the year 1999 and has grown to the point that the information must be placed in a permanent location. This castle, its outbuildings, and the Great Forest, will continue to grow as family members and friends contribute to its design and construction.

deskMy name is Tim Clouser. I was born at an Army base in Kentucky and served over 20 years in the United States Navy. Though I have lived in many areas of the United States and visited much of the world, I have always called Tipton County, Indiana my home. In 1984, I married Cathy Lucy, who has given me two beautiful children and all the love and support anyone could ask for including all my interests. I plan to build a Lucy Castle for her in the future.

So how did the castle construction begin, you may ask, and eventually wind up on the Internet? Here is your answer.

This castle was built out of a need for me to share my family history and genealogy discoveries with other family members and friends. After moving around the country while in the Navy, upon retirement my wife and I decided to move back to Indiana. While packing our stuff for this final move from South Carolina, I discovered a pedigree chart of mine that I created in 1972 for a Boy Scout project. While looking at the chart, I was reminded of the many family reunions I attended while growing up.

Being absent from these events for my 20 year Naval career, I began to reestablish my family connections and talked to many aunts, uncles and cousins. The stories are still there as they always have been.

One day, while surfing the Internet for genealogy, I ran across some familiar names. While some of the information I found was inaccurate, I then developed a serious addiction to finding more about my ancestors. I began collecting all sorts of information about my familial history.

While some may think of these informational snippets as puzzle pieces, I always thought of them as bricks. The information is a concrete piece about an individual or family. As my pile of bricks kept getting larger and larger and I soon realized something must be done. My bricks began to shape the foundation of my research and as I am an avid reader of fantasy, they also began to shape the foundation of this castle.

A castle seems to fit the goals of this website very well. A castle is a large, fortified residence and my hope is that this site will become a large fortified residence of Clouser history and genealogy information.
