Carse Lee Clouser, 78, 716 S. Washington st., Greenfield, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday at Greenfield Hospital after an illness of five weeks. Retired from American Pad and Textile Co., he was also a former employe of A.P.I., Washington C.H. He was born May 14, 1897 in Ross County, to Frank and Amanda Storts Clouser. His first wife, the former Ethel Edwards, died Oct. 4, 1953. On Nov. 27, 1955, he married the former Effie Copeland, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Erma) Cameron, Xenia; and Florence Satterfield, Greenfield; eight sons, Robert L., Dayton; Carson Clouser Jr., Frankfort Rt. 2; George F., Wilmington; Lloyd E, Clouser Sr., Greenfield; Walter G., Bainbridge Rt. 2; Kenneth E., and John R., both of Greenfield; and James W., Sabina; 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Heber (Pete), of Cynthiana; Wilbur of Wilmington; and Wilby of Lyndon; and two sisters, Miss Maude Clouser, South Salem; and Mrs. Ervin (Marjorie) Dove, New Martinsburg. He was predeceased by two brothers. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Christian Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Eugene Fligor and Rev. Robert Combs officiating. Burial will follow in South Salem Cemetery under the direction of Murray's Funeral Home. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at Murray's.
