OBITUARY OF JAMES FREDERICK HEARN

James Frederick Hearn

After a short battle with cancer, James Frederick Hearn of New Liskeard died November 18, 2002 at the Temisksaming Hospital.
Mr. Hearn was born December 15, 1932 in Uno Park to Rose and William Hearn. Educated at Uno Park, he was a farmer, miner and bus driver during his lifetime. Mr. Hearn married Irene Beach in New Liskeard on May 14, 1955 and farmed in Brethour Township for 40 years.
He was a wonderful father and good husband who was loved by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hearn is survived by his wife Irene; daughters Connie and Wanda; son-in-law Dennis; grandchildren Jerramy, Tanya, Jerrid and Derick; four brothers and six sisters, eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Cremation has taken place with burial at Hanbury Cemetery in Harley Township.
A memorial grave side service will be held in the spring.

OBITUARY OF NANCY ELIZABETH KELLY HEARN

Nancy Elizabeth Hearn (nee Kelly) died October 31, 2001 at the Temiskaming Hospital at the age of 72 after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Hearn is survived by her husband Louis Hearn; children Terry (Shirley) of Mississauga, Larry (Doreen) of New Liskeard; Joyce (Alvin) Peddie of Wahnapitae; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; siblings Arthur of King Kirkland, John of New Liskeard and Florence of Mattawa. She was predeceased by her sons Joseph (Gail) and Wayne; parents Newman and Rachel Kelly; brothers Henry, William Bud, Fredrick and Alfred; sisters May, Estella and Dorothy.
The family thanked the doctors and nurses at the Temiskaming Hospital for their excellent care. Funeral arrangements were made by Perrin Funeral Chapel.

OBITUARY OF LOUIS GEORGE HEARN

Louis George Hearn

Louis George Hearn died October 11, 2005 at the Temiskaming Hospital, at the age of 77, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Harley Township, New Liskeard, on October 28, 1927 to William and Rose-Grace Hearn.
Mr. Hearn worked in the mine in Kirkland Lake for six years, and he worked as a correctional officer at the Haileybury Jail for 30 years.
He is survived by his children Terry (Shirley) of Mississauga, Larry (Doreen) of New Liskeard, Joyce (Alvin) Peddie of Wahnapitae; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; brothers John, Joseph and Wilfred; sisters Marie, Marjorie, Margaret, Delma, Thelma and Eva.
The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Hearn was predeceased by his wife Nancy, sons Joseph and Wayne, sister Shirley, brothers James and Francis.
The family thanked the doctors and nurses at the Temiskaming Hospital for their excellent care with a special thank you to Dr. McDermott and Dr. Rahn.

OBITUARY OF SHIRLEY JIBB

Shirley Jibb
--------------

Mrs. Shirley Jibb, of Kerns Township, died suddenly at home on Saturday, March 23, 1985 at the age of 55 years.
She was born August 11, 1929 to William and Rose Hearn of Uno Park and later received her education at Uno Park Public School.
Mrs. Jibb is lauded as a devoted mother and grandmother who delighted in teaching younger folks a multitude of home crafts. A woman who was an avid sports fan, who also loved to write short stories and poems. Mrs. Jibb is noted as a member of the Milberta United Church for years, and later, as a member of the St. Paul’s United Church congregation. She was also a member of the United Church Women.
She married Clarence Jibb in ceremonies held at Uno Park in September 18, 1948. For the next 38 years, until her untimely demise, she remained a helpful homemaker and aided her husband’s dairy farm operation.
Mrs. Jibb is survived by husband Clarence and by three sons and four daughters: Fraser (and wife Audrey), Michael (and wife Dianne), Jeffrey (and wife Wendy) - all of Kerns Township; Wendy (Mrs. Bruce Loach) of Hudson Twp., Trudy (Mrs. Carman Kidd) of Dymond Twp., Susan (Mrs. Ford Naismith) of New Liskeard, and Jennifer, at home. Predeceased by both parents and one sister in infancy as well as by one son, David, in October of 1983, Mrs. Jibb is also survived by six sisters and six brothers, as well as by 15 grandchildren: Joanne, Dennis, and Darren Jibb; Christopher Gregory, Kari Anne, and Kelly Loach; Angela, Trevor and Michael Kidd; Travis and Amanada Naismith; Jessica, Shannon and Jason Jibb.
Funeral Services were held at St. Paul’s United Church with Rev. Lorne Keayes officiating and Mr. George Wilkinson delivering the eulogy. Pallbearers were Fraser, Michael and Jeffrey Jibb, Bruce Loach, Carman Kidd and Ford Naismith. There will be a spring interment at Milberta Cemetery.

OBITUARY OF ROSE GRACE HEARN

Rose Grace Hearn

The death occurred Monday evening, February 2nd, 1970 of Rose Grace Hearn, age 63, at her residence in Harley Township.
Born in Napanee, Ontario, May 20th, 1906, daughter of late William Baker and Matilda Raymond, she came to Northern Ontario in 1923. On April 24th, 1923, she married the late William Albert Hearn of Milberta. She resided in Uno Park since her marriage where she enjoyed gardening and raising their family. She was predeceased by her husband in 1963 and one daughter in 1931.
Surviving are her sons, William, Sussex, New Brunswick; Johnny, Calgary; Jimmy, Belle Valley; Joseph, Edmonton; Louis and Wilfred of New Liskeard.
Daughters, Shirley, Mrs. Clarence Jibb; Marie, Mrs. Carl Aitchison; Delma, Mrs. Glen Loach; Eve, Mrs. Alex McLean; all of New Liskeard, Ontario. Marjorie, Mrs. Gary Beach, Belle Vallee; Margaret. Mrs. Dave Veley, North Cobalt; Thelma, Mrs. Gerald Orton, Levack. Also surviving are brothers Jack and Bill Baker, Napanee, Ontario. Sisters Hazel Ellegett, Josephine Pylus, both of Oshawa, Marie Smith of Whitby.
She is also survived by 70 grandchildren and eleven great grand children.
The funeral service was held from Perrin's Funeral Chapel, New Liskeard, with Rev. Morrison officiating on February 6th, 2 p.m.
Pallbearers were grandsons Fraser and Michael Jibb, Terry, Joey, Larry and Gary Hearn.
Interment was at Hanbury Cemetery.

HEARN - Verna Yvonne (Messenger) age 58 years. Passed away suddenly at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, December 7, 1986. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband John Henry, 3 daughters Julie Evans (Bob), Cheryl Siermachesky (Gordon) of Calgary and Debra Leveque (Roger) of Brooks, Alberta, 5 sons. Garry (Marilyn) of Ottawa, Terry (Penny), Bobby (Cathy), Dwight (Sheila) and Donny all of Calgary, 6 sisters, Elsie Bowen, Hazel Faulkner, Helen Wallace, Mabel Bandy, Gladys Sherritt and Kay Wilson, 3 BROTHERS, Don (Doris) Messenger, Elmer (Margaret) and Arthur (Annette) all of Ontario, as well as 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Clarence Messenger. Funeral services were held at the Calgary Crematorium Chapel on Wednesday, December 10, 1986 followed by cremation.
