Mrs. Olive McAllister, St. Johnsville -
Mrs. Olive McAllister, 87, of 57 North Division Street, this village, formerly of Rockton Plaza, Little Falls, passed away Thursday afternoon in the Van Allen Nursing Home, Little Falls, where she had been a patient since March 23.
She was born in Parham, Ontario, Canada, April 10, 1892, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jason Hearns and was educated in Canadian schools.
Deceased moved to Little Falls in July of 1926 and had been a resident of that city for many years. For most of her working life Mrs. McAllister had been employed by the Little Falls Felt Shoe Company in Little Falls.
She was a communicant member of St. Mary's Church, Little Falls and presently a communicant member of St. Patrick's Church, here.
Her marriage to Jerome McAllister took place September 6, 1912. He died March 4, 1918.
Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Elton (Geraldine) Johnson, St. Johnsville, with whom she had resided; Mrs. Leslie (Veronica) Barton, Pine Plains, N.Y., and Mrs. Glenn (Berenice) Vaughn of Utica; also six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from St. Patrick's Church with the mass of Christian burial celebrated by the Rev. William J. Schoofs, pastor. Interment will be made in the family plot in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. There are no calling hours.
