The Athletic Club here and other residents wish to extend their deep
sympathy to the parents of the late Art Hayes, in their sad loss. Art was a general favourite in this community and his death will be felt keenly by the many friends here.
Although his home was in Charlton, he had pitched for the Athletic Club for
several years, staying at the home of his brother-in-law, Mr. Geo HEARN.
The day after the field day here he took ill with appendicitis and was hurried
to the Cobalt Hospital, where he passed away.
