TRIPP - SAMIS
---------------

Saturday, October 5th, the home of Mr. and Mrs. John SAMIS , East Colborne, was the scene of a very pretty wedding, when their eldest daughter, Ruby Pearl, became the bride of Alfred James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Tripp, Grafton. The ceremony was performed under an arch of pink and white streamers and maple leaves, by the Baptist minister, the Rev. Arthur Hale. The bride, who entered the room on the arm of her father, was becomingly gowned in blue canton crepe made on long princess lines with navy and white accessories. The bridesmaid, Miss Annie Harnden, Vernonville, wore a gown of geranium rose crepe made on similar lines to that of the bride, with brown and white accessories. Both wore corsages of autumn flowers. The groom was supported by his brother, Mr. Fred Tripp, of Vernonville. After the ceremony a buffet luncheon was served to immediate relatives of the bride and groom, the assistants being Miss Mary Harnden, sister of the bridesmaid. Miss Ada Tripp, sister of the groom, and Misses Mable and Effie SAMIS sisters of the bride. Among those present from a distance were Mrs. J. Smith of Norham, grandmother of the bride, and Misses Edna and Lillian Tripp of Norwood. Later the happy couple left for western points, the bride travelling in a royal blue swagger suit with hat and shoes to match. On their return, Mr. and Mrs. Tripp will reside in Centreton.
