Descendants of Ellen M. Hearns
Ellen M. Hearns was the fourth daughter of Darius Hearns and Dorothy MacDonald. Ellen was born January 25, 1840; she died in Colborne, Ontario on August 18, 1928 and was buried in the East Colborne Cemetery on August 20, 1928. Ellen married Alexander Morrow on February 13, 1868 at Colborne, Ontario. Alexander was born in 1839 and died in 1914 in Colborne, Ontario.
Ellen and Alexander had two children:1.Frederick C. Morrow, born January 18, 1869 and died in June, 1947. He married Bertha Masters. She was born in May 25, 1874 and died 1950. Borth are buried at Shiloh Cemetery, Cramahe Twp.
2. Elma Morrow born in 1885. There is no additional information on Elma. Since she did not appear on the 1901 census with her parents, we may assume that she passed away at an early age.
Frederick Morrow
Frederick married Bertha Masters. Bertha was born May 25, 1874 and she died in 1950. Both Fred and Bertha are buried in the Shiloh Cemetery, Cramahe Township. Fred and Bertha had two sons,namely:
1. Archibald Morrow born April 1, 1893; he died in 1920. Archie married Florence Amy Barton, she was born April 15, 1893. Archie was a World War One veteran who died of meningitis. Archie was a graduate of McMaster University in Toronto where he was a music director. Archie is buried in Shiloh Cemetery, Cramahe Township
2. Francis Morrow was born July 31, 1895; he died in 1904 at the age of 7 years. He, too, is buried at Shiloh Cemetery.
