| The Petition of Margaret Hernes (word stroked through) Bell of the Township of Fredericksburgh in the Midland District, Province of Upper Canada, Humbly Sheweth That your Petitioner is the Daughter of Gilbert Harnes of the township of Fredericksburgh in the Midland District, a U.E. Loyalist, that she is married (to William Bell) and has never received any Land or order for Land from the Crown: Your Petitioner, therefore, prays that your Excellency in Council will be pleased to grant her two hundred acres of the waste Lands of the Crown, and permit (?)Ward to be her Agent to locate the same, and to receive the Patent when completed. And as in duty bound will ever pray. |
