IN MEMORY OF MR. H.
A. TURNBO
Just a thought of sweet remembrance.
Just a memory fond and true.
Just a token of affection,
And a heartache still for you.
We miss you, Mr. Turnbo
We miss you from your place,
A shadow o'er our life is cast.
We miss the sunshine of your face,
We miss your kind and willing hand.
Youre fond and earnest care.
Long Cove is dark without you.
We miss you everywhere.
Though deepened furrows seamed your brow,
and age had bent your frame,
Yet life to you was very dear,
Your love remains the same.
Dearest love one we must lay you
In the peaceful grave's embrace',
But your memory will be cherished
Until we see your heavenly face.
Peaceful be your silent slumber,
Peaceful In your grave below.
You will no more Join our number
You no more our sorrow know.
Yet again we hope to meet you
When the day of life is fled,
And In heaven with Joy to greet you,
Where no farewell tears are shed.
Lonely the house and sad the hours
Since this dear one has gone,
But 0, a brighter home than ours
In heaven now 'Is his own.
We have lost our good neighbor,
Mr. Turnbo
Yes, he has bid us all adieu.
He has gone to live in heaven
And his form is last In view.
Long Cove has lost its look of gladness;
Heaven to us seems more bright
Since the spirit of this dear one
Took his happy homeward flight.
Now we long to cross that river
Long to rest upon that shore.
There to see and know and love him.
With the Savior ever more.
