His fields were science and theology. He was an ordained Methodist clergyman, but in 1902 became a Unitarian. He was an author. His alma mater was Ohio Wesleyan from which he received degrees of A.B. in 1888, A.M. in 1893 and an honorary S.T.D. He also had a strong interest in genealogy working out his own TUBBS ancestry. He died on Feb 23 1939 in Kingston, Ulster Co., NY. ^(16187) In 1887, resided at Delaware OH while studying for the ministry.

He was married to Charlotte (Lottie) Isabelle KERR (daughter of Augustus Pomeroy KERR and Frances M.
