This is one of the few tombstones we found that showed Wynne's in the area, remember the 200 year rule... |
 |
 |
The cemetery also had the traditional stone walls we saw everywhere. |
Betty McGehee and Susan Grove, in the door frame of the gated entry to the chapel. |
A tribute to some military men of the area. |
I don't know what this says, but it is a gate at the side of the church, and my translater says "Bafod Under Church", so maybe some one will tell us what this says? |

George and Carol parked the van across the street, as we started to gather to leave we clustered near the van. |
LOOK They are telling everyone that the WYNN'S are that way! |
Carol pointing out the sign telling us to go that away! |
We were laughing our heads off because we kept seeing Wynn stuff everywhere. |
Such fun, all in a days trip right Carol? |
If you look at the close up picture you can see that someone blacked out the "WAY IN" letters "A" and "I", we think that Carol and George did this to make us feel welcome, that is why we were laughing so much. |
Then just a few minutes later we pass this van.. See they know we are here, you think the passed family were trying to tell us something, we like to think so! |
This is the last picture of the St. Stephens tower. as we were leaving. |
This is the Ysceifiog Church, in Ysceifiog parish, in the Ysceifiog community. Mike Owens helped drum in the pronunciation of Ysceifiog. You pronounce it "Es Cave Yard" not "Yes see fiog" as my southern twang does it. And when you say the town with the Y name after the 2nd day they figure out we meant Ysceifiog, but they sure didn't understand our pronunciation of it!! Ha ha |
This is the church where Tabitha's kids were baptised and we are told Dr. Thomas Wynne's family elder were probably attendants at. Mind you this is the 2006 versions of the church not any are the actual original churches. |
