Note: Robert Royston married Rhoda Elliott of Petsworth Parish in 1771. He is listed as a tax payer in Caroline County in 1783 and again in 1799. He was a carriage maker by trade. He is mentioned in Caroline County Court records in 1804 in conjunction with the opening of a road, and again as proving the will of Clack Row. In the 1810 census his large household contained 34 slaves and 10 members of the family. Robert Royston's will is dated 10 March 1815 and recorded 10 November 1817.
