Outlaw Connections?

In an interview with Ica (JONES)Perry, ca. 1969, she stated that her father, Perry Silas JONES, was related to the JAMES', Belle Starr (Myra Maybelle SHIRLEY), and Sam BASS. There has also been the suggestion that we're related to Charles Arthur "Pretty Boy" Floyd.

I am currently in the process of figuring out HOW our family connects to these individuals and their families. I haven't spent a lot of time researching them, but there are a few of us in our "genealogy" world who would really like to find out for sure whether the statement made by Grandma Ica is factual or not. As I gather new information, I will make it all available on this page.
