Very largely through the efforts of your brother, William L. Terry, Commissary Steward, U.S. Navy, I have been officially commended by the Commander Destroyer Squadrons, U.S. Atlantic Fleet for the efficient operation of the General Mess of this vessel. It, therefore, gives me very real pleasure to write and tell you that I, sharing this commendation with your brother, have commended him in the presence of the entire crew and have entered this commendation in his official Service Record.
