Samuel Obenshain The Fincastle Herald - Thursday July 16, 1914 Mr. Samuel Obenshain, an aged citizen of this county, died at his home near Troutville, July 10, 1914. He was seventy two years of age and was a member of Trinity Lutheran church. He served four years during the Civil War, in Company A, 28 Virginia Inft. For a number of years he has been an invalid and on Friday morning he quietly passed away. He leaves a wife and a host of friends to mourn their loss. Let him sleep under the blue sky of his native State where the flowers bloom and shed their fragrance on his grave, there to await the call of his God. U. D. J.
