Obenshain, James Cary, 84 of Fincastle, died Thursday, June 25, 1998. He was born September 3, 1913, and was the son of the late Elmer Peyton and Edith Stevens Obenshain. He was a life long farmer in the Mill Creek Community of Botetourt County. He was predeceased by five brothers, William, L. D., Lee, E. P., Jr., Dewey, and one sister, Ruby. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Lucy Deel of Fincastle, Grace Austin of Roanoke; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 1998 in the Mill Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Marsha Davidson and the Rev. Michael Grooms officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rader Funeral Home, Daleville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fincastle Rescue Squad, P. O.
