Stanley Joseph Dunman, age 71, of Pickerington died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at his residence.    Joe was born in Roanoke, VA., the only child of James William and Louise (Stanley) Dunman.  Joe was a graduate of Fishburne Military School, Waynesboro, VA., Rio Grande College and Ohio University.   He worked for many years at DeSoto, Inc. and retired as plant controller at the Columbus Sherwin Williams paint plant in 1995.  Since then, he has been a tax advisor for H&R Block. 

Past member of the National Association of Accountants.  Joe was proud to be an Eagle Scout and a multi-gallon blood donor.   He was an Army Veteran serving two terms of duty, and was a member of American Legion Post #283, Pickerington.  Joe was a member of Peace United Methodist Church and enjoyed working on various committees. 

Joe was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Glenda (Phipps) Dunman; daughter Lorilee (Billy) Hawkins, Nashville, TN.; son Stanley J. Dunman Jr., Fairfield, OH.; and three grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Dunman and Joshua Arnett. 
 

Friends may visit Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. North (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington.
 

Funeral service is to be 11 a.m. Saturday at Peace United Methodist Church, 235 Diley Rd., Pickerington, Ohio43147.  Pastor Jim Riggs officiating. Interment Violet Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peace United Methodist Church or The American Cancer Society in his memory.
