Morningstar

Morningstar is another one of my problem lines. My earliest known Morningstar is Henry Morningstar b. 1800, PA; d. 1883, Algoma, MI. He married Sarah Elizabeth Glass in Columbiana County, Ohio. Sarah was born Abt. 1801 and was the daughter of Peter and Sarah Glass. My line is through their son Jacob. A William H. Morningstar may be a sibling of Henry.

Helsel / Heltzel / Holtzel

My information on the Helsel's is largerly from fellow reaserchers. I am honored that many of you have shared your research with me. The general consensus I have found is that the Helsels or Holtzels immigrated from Germany in 1733. Brothers Philip and Nicholas immigrated (possibly with a third brother) and settled in York Co, Pennsylvania.

Philip Wendell Holtzel b. 1696 Schatthausen, Heidelberg, GPD, Emigrated 11 Oct 1733 on the Charming Betty to Philadelphia, PA, m. Elizabeth Magrelta in Palatinate District, Germany. Philip died 03 Mar 1763 Paradise Twp, York Co, PA.
