In the name of God Amen February the first I John Trotter of Scott Co and
State of KY being sick and weak of body etc....Make his last will and
testament.

First I appoint my dear wife Agness and Alexander Trotter my oldes
son....executors.

To wife Agness my beloved wife a Negro woman and Child being named Debrah and
Knead likewise a [horse] saddle and bridle----and furniture.  To my three
well beloved daughters James[that is what it looks like, however, think it is
JANE] & Margaret, Elizabeth appoint them their portion equal to what my other
daughters............ [blank here]
also to my two well beloved sons Samuel and Robt Moore I divide equally
between them only my youngest son is to have the end first [blank here]
and his mother to have a good deceant maintenance with him on the land while
she remains single.
Also to my well beloved daughters Mary Alexander & Agness Woonnde [McConnell!]
I give unto each of ------ seven shillings and sixpence.
Also to my son Joseph if he lives and comes to his health the sum which is in
[James] might be I am dynsted wath....or I am divested with? ---fifty pounds
he is to collect it himself if he dies in the presant sickness his heirs is to
receive the same of seven shillings......sixpence-----Alexander I appoint
seven shillings and six pence also [a really big blank here of at least 8
lines]
wifes hand for the use of the family and her she thinks best; and as I have
ordered the above named persons executors of this my last will and testment
to take care that the same be perform.  In witness I the said John Trotter
hath set my hand and seal this day and year above written.  Witness Present:
Saml White, Samuel Trotter, William Trotter. [These would be more like his
brothers Samuel and William]

p. 100 At a court held for Scott Co Ky the 17 day of Oct 1794 This will was this day
produced in court by Agness Troter the executor therin named and proved by
witnesses the exectrix having taken the oath and ordered into bond as the law
direst was ordered to be recorded.
 

  In the name of God, Amen

     I Agness Trotter of Jefferson County of the State of Indiana being weak in body but sound of mind and judgement
     do make ordain and constitute this as my last will and testament as follows Viz

     First I allow as much of my Estate as will be necessary used to defray cost of my funeral in a decent and Christian
     like manor to be first paid.

     I also allow my executors as soon as they deem it expedient to make sale of my land to the best advantage they
     can After my death

     I also allow the price of said land to be distributed as follows Viz.

     I allow to my Granddaughter Nancy Mc?eroy McNutt one hundred dollars and to my grand daughter Nancy
     Luston Twenty dollars

     To my son in law Alexander McNutt twenty dollars for his services for renting said farm paying taxes an ?? ????
     to the date under written

     I also allow to my daughter Mary Alexander & Margarett McNutt to each an equal shares and to my daughter
     Betsy Sabree ten dollars less then to the above mentioned Mary and Margerett

     I also allow by bed and furnishment to whom I shall be living with before my death and my wearing apparel
     equally distributed between my three daughters

     I also allow my Negro man Misc to be cut free against the 1st day of April one thousand eight hundred and
     twenty six Presuant he be given apprentice _____ity for his own support and I do further will allow my

     I do further will if James Sabree and

     I do further allow , my XXXXX any account my estate for boarding Washing H xxx to change him all he has
     received from me since he came to the above and do ________king my sons Samuel Trotter and Robert Trotter
     or their heirs have received their full share I don’t allow them any more at my death

     I do also constitute and appoint Alexander McNutt and Robert Siminton my Executors

     in testimony where of I have unto set my hand and affixed my seal this 19th day of December in the year of our
     Lord one thousand eighteen hundred and twenty two.
