I Joseph Trotter of Washington County Territory South of the Ohio being weak and infirm
of body but of a sound and perfect judgement and understanding do make this my last will
and testament in the manner and form following this is to say when it shall please God to
call me off from this world I commit my Soul to the Merciful dispose of all events
relying upon the merits of a redeemer for SAlvation and I do order my body to be decently
intered by my friends and after my funeral charges and all my just debts do leave
the rest of my estate in the manner following.
2nd- My will is that my wife Jenny Trotter shall have the gray horse that I
now own and one half of all the rest of my estate only my clothes after my debts have been
paid.
3rd- My will is that all my clothes is to be divided between my brother
Alexander Trotter and James.
My will is that my wife Jenny shall have my chest that is down at Colonel Roddies
and any of my clothes that she can wear .
My will is that the other half of my estate that Jenny don't get is to be divided equally
among st all my brothers and sisters.
I do hereby constitute and appoint my wife Jenny Trotter and my brother Alexander
Trotter the sole executors of this my last will and testament this eighth day
of January Seventeen hundred and Ninety four.
