A very
well organised site .Congratulations! Have got back to the late 1600s with my Trotters.The
vast majority are from Lincoln City in England , with a later branch moving to Grimsby ,
Lincolnshire in the early 1800s.Would love to correspond with anyone researching this line
, as Trotter research here seems to concentrate on Scotland or Northumberland.Be warned ,
though.I am highly disorganised!! |

Paternal grandmother was Della Adeline Trotter daughter of Charles R Trotter and Delaware
Foster, Charles R Trotter was the son of Richard Beason Trotter. I have photos of him and
his wife Carnisa, if any one is interested. He fought in the Civil war and as far as I can
tell was on the Confederate Side. |

grandfather was John William Trotter, son of Elijah Trotter and Melissa Milam. His dates
are 1845-1923. He served in Co.A/50th Tenn. Inf. CSA. his brother was Sylvanius Trotter
(1843-1923) he served in Co.B/14th Tenn. Inf. CSA Army of Northern Virginia. Elijah's
(1815-1893) father was John Trotter (1775-1830) who married Sally Corban. John was the son
of Robert Trotter who was from Virginia and came to Tennessee about 1804. I would like
VERY much to get more info on the TROTTER line and some help on the Tennessee lines. Thank
