Will of John Reid Trotter, Probate Judge Office. Pickens, South Carolina.

I John Reid Trotter now expecting to be called in the service of my country. After my just debts and funeral expenses are paid. I will to my wife Sarah Trotter my negro girl Hannah, with all household and kitchen furniture and stock of all kinds. I will the two tracts of land, one known as the home tract and the other tract as the Duncan tract to my beloved wife Sarah during her life time or widowhood, bit in case she should see cause to marry or does marry, I will the above land to my son Josiah Trotter forever. I will and direct that my son be schooled in good English. I appoint my wife Sarah exectrix and son Josiah my executor. Dated 27 april, 1863. Wit: Anner Larthem, Hames M. Ferguson, J. G. Ferguson
