Know all men by these presents that I Isaiah Trotter of the State & District

afore sd. for & in Consideration of the sum of four Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by Josiah Trotter of the State & District afore sd. the Rect. whereof is hereby acknowledged Have Granted Bargained Sold & Releas'd & by these presents do grant Bargain Sell & Release unto Josiah Trotter one certain tract of Land Lying & being in the State & District afore sd. Begining on a poplar thence So. 65 E 6 Chains to a hickory thence S 16 to the Beginning Corner Containing fifty acres be the same more or less--Also another tract containing ten acres be the same more or less Begining on James Fergusons poplar Corner on the N E Side of a Branch of Town Creek thence S stake, thence N 68 W to a stake on Binums old Line on Muddy Branch, thence S to the begining also Tract Containing one hundred acres be the same more or less begining on a B Jack Corner thence along Perrys line to a Bl. gum corner on the Branch, thence up ad. Branch to a Conditional Corner on John Princes line Thence along the big Road to a P. ak Station on Nathaniel Perrys line thence along sd. line S 55 W to a P oak corner thence S 16 Chains to a pine knot corner, thence to the Beginning Corner--Together with all & Singular belonginbg or in any wise incident or appertainging to have and to hold all & Singular the sd. lands above mentioned--unto the sd. Josiah Trotter his heirs to warrant & forever Defend all & Singular the sd. before mentioned Land unto the sd. Josiah Trotter his heirs & assigns & against all & Every other persons Lawfully Claiming the same or any part thereof In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 7th Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & forty two.

the subscribing Justis and made oath in due form of law and on oath saith that he did see the within named Isaiah Trotter sign Seal and Execute the with in Deed for the use and purpose there in expressed and set forth and that A. S. Bird was with him and in his presents a subscribing witness to the Execution of the same. Sworn to and subscribed before me this 10th Oct. 1842.
