- Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Clarence M. and Emma christopher
Trotter.
- He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from W. Clarkson Brothers Inc. in
Cowpens. He was a member of River Road Baptist Church and was choir director at New Hope
Baptist Church for 10 years.
- surviving are his wife, Rachel Durham Trotter of the home; a son and daughter-in-law
Jerry Christopher and Rachel Wilson Trotter of Anderson; three daughters and two
sone-in-law, Beth and Gary Wilson of Piedmont, Kathy and Ron Webb of Easley and Gail
Trotter of Atlanta; three sisters, Mary Davis of Williamston and Edna Durham and Thelma
Page, both of Piedmont; and four grandchildren, chris Trotter, Justin Trotter, Josh Wilson
and Erin Wilson.
- He was predeceased by two brothers, Jerry W. Trotter and C.M. Trotter and a sister, Reba
Kelly.

- Services 4 p.m. Monday at Mountain Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Mark McGuire
and Wyndale Sullivan and Dr. Ron Fousek officiating. Burial will be in the church
cemetery.
- Vistation: 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Gray Mortuary in Pelzer.
