Jacob PEDERSEN and Rasmine HANSDATTER

Jacob Pedersen was born 1820-1821 in Denmark. He may have spelled his name Petersen and he may have used the names Peter Jacobson or Jacob Jacobson in the United States.

Jacob married Rasmine Charlotte Hansdatter October 11, 1851 in Utterslev, Maribo, Denmark. Rasmine’s surname is sometimes listed as Hansen. All of Jacob and Rasmine’s children were christened in Utterslev.

Jacob immigrated to the United States in May 1878. He was living in Brooklyn, Wisconsin with his son Peter by 1880. He was living with his son Chris in Brooklyn Township in 1900.

The children of Jacob Pedersen and Rasmine Hansdatter are:

Hans Peter Jacobson was born November 26, 1852 in Lolland, Denmark, and died October 25, 1924. He immigrated to the Brooklyn, WI area in March 1874 and remained there the rest of his life. Peter married Anna OLSON in 1885, daughter of Ole and Johana Olson. Anna was born about April 1864 in Denmark and immigrated about 1885. Peter and Anna farmed west of the village of Brooklyn. In addition to the children listed here, Peter and Anna lost two children in infancy.

The children of Peter Jacobson and Anna Olson are:

i.	Axel O Jacobson born about March 1886.
ii.	Sofus A Jacobson born about February 1888.
iii.	Jacob Elmer Jacobson born about March 1891.
iv.	Edmund Jacobson born about April 1895.
v.	Clarence Jacobson, born about June 1898.
vi.	Minnie Jacobson born about August 1899. She married Matt LUCHSINGER.
vii.	Elva Jacobson, born January 15, 1906 in Brooklyn, Green Co, WI.

Rasmus Jacobson was born October 14, 1854 in Denmark, and died May 18, 1919 in Madison, Dane Co, WI. He married Lena Larsdatter HANSON February 2, 1881 in Dane Co, WI, USA. For more information about them, please go to Rasmus' family page.

Christian (Chris) Jacobson was born October 30, 1856 in Denmark. He immigrated to Wisconsin about 1879. He was living with his siblings Rasmus and Anna in Oregon, Dane Co, WI in 1880. He married Anna M CHRISTIANSON about 1881. Chris was a hotel proprietor in the village of Brooklyn. Later, Chris lived in Albany, Green Co, WI and was still living in 1924.

Ane (Anna) Christine Jacobson was born August 21, 1859 in Denmark. She immigraged to Brooklyn, WI in March 1877. She was living with her brothers Rasmus and Chris in Oregon, Dane Co, WI in 1880. She married Carl NELSON and lived in Brooklyn, Green Co, WI in 1919. Anna died before 1924.

Mette Cathrine Jacobson was born May 27, 1862 in Denmark. She immigrated to the US with her father in May 1878. Mette died before 1919.
