Sister Elizabeth Hines departed this life October 26th 1868.
Sister Hines was for many years a consistent member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sharpsburg, Md. A great portion of her time was spent in the service of her Lord and Master. Up to the time of her illness she attended the Prayer meeting and Preaching regular, and often was happy in the love of God. She conversed freely up to the time of her departure and when the Messenger Death came for her she was perfectly resigned and willing to go. Her last words were (Im almost Home).
Jesus can make a dying bed
Feel soft as downy pillows are
Whilst on his breast she leaned her head
And breathed her life out sweetly there.
