He was a labourer age 45; age 55 cns 1851; He and Jennifer (Jane) MARTIN appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 at 2 Railway Terrace, Portreath, Illogan;. d 8 Mar 1865, age 67, Plymouth Dist.?; md 8 May 1819 Illogan, Cornwall Jane (Jennifer) MARTIN, age 40 cns 1841after banns, according to the rites and ceremonies of the Church of England. Jane Martin made mark, witnessed by Thomas MARTIN and John WILLOUGHBY; age 54 cns 1851; d 3 July 1861, Portreath, Illogan, at age 67 of many years decline. Children of John TRELOAR and Jennifer MARTIN i. Mary TRELOAR, bp 15 August 1819 at Illogan; md Richard DAVIS. These are the parents of Catherine Martin Treloar DAVIS ii. Jane TRELOAR, bp 5 September 1821 at Illogan; md Thomas JORY. She was age 20 cns 1841; age 28 cns 1851, servant living at home of Elizabeth and John Trewortha. iii. John TRELOAR b abt 1823; bp. 18 Jan. 1824 Illogan; d. 20 Dec. 1902, age 72, Portreath, Cornwall; md. 12 Mar. 1851 Illogan Grace PEARCE, of Portreath, b. ab. 1827, d. 19 Feb. 1882, age 55 yrs. at Portreath. Family information from Mrs. Myra Harris. iv. Catherine Martin TRELOAR bp 15 Jan 1826 Illogan v. Louisa Martin TRELOAR bp 4 Feb 1828 Illogan; age 14 cns 1841; age 23 cns 1851; md Walter TRESCOWTHICK vi. Walter TRELOAR bp 12 Sep 1829 Illogan; d 25 Dec 1887, age 56; md 11 Feb 1857 Mary Ann PETERS. vii. Catherine Martin TRELOAR; bp 22 Feb 1833 at Illogan; married Thomas Williams TANGYE 19 July 1851 at Illogan. She emigrated to Melbourne and ran the Sunnyside Hotel there. She had no children. viii. Grace TRELOAR b abt 1833; bp 19 Dec 1834 Illogan; age 8 cns 1841. md James WILLOUGHBY ix. Joseph TRELOAR b 22 March 1837 Portreath, Illogan; md 19 Oct 1861 Rebecca AVER x. William (Henry?) TRELOAR b Sept 1840 Redruth Dist. William TRELOAR;; Orson Treloar's book has this child as William Henry. Hilary Watson notes that no William Henry son of John and Jane Treloar was baptised at Illogan around 1840, nor was a William Henry registered at Redruth. However the 1841 census has William aged 4 mths living with the family and there is an entry in the GRO birth indices for William Treloar Redruth Dec 1840; born circa 1841. xi.
