Eng. Jane CHAPMAN, dau. of Charles Chapman, a farmer of St. Martin Parish, she b. 5 Nov. 1854 or '56 Coleshill?, Warwick Co., d. 28 Apr. 1903 home of son Ernest, 12 Vernon Rd., Leytonstone, Co. of Essex and West Ham. C. B.; bur. Manor Part Cemetery, London, Eng. He was born William Hitchings BENNETT because his father took the surname of Bennett. When he first went to sea as a cabin boy of 15 years he signed the name William Bennett. He was married at age 28 as William Hitchens Bennett Treloar and gave his father as William Bennett Trelour.
