Ninth GenerationWilliam John9 TRELOAR (Henry89, William7, James6, Bennet5, Thomas4, John3, Wearne2, John1 Werne TRELOWARTH) a minister, son of Henry TRELOAR and Grace TRENGROUSE, was born on 8 Aug 1860 in Spring Gully, Fryers Creek, VIC, died on 6 Jul 1923 in Fitzroy North, VIC, at age 62, and was buried on 10 Jul 1923 in Ballarat, Old Cemetery, VIC. He was a Methodist Minister. William married Annie Elizabeth SUNDERLAND on 23 Apr 1886 in Skipton St., Methodist, Ballarat, VIC. Annie was born on 13 Sep 1864, died on 24 Dec 1903 in Elmore, VIC, at age 39, and was buried on 26 Dec 1903 in Ballarat, Old Cemetery, VIC. William John Treloar was born in 1860 and entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1882. He ministered at Castlemaine (1887), Terang (1888), Clunes (1891), Creswick (1897), Numurkah (1909) and from 1911 until his death in 1923 at the Brunswick Methodist Mission Church in Melbourne. A family story has it that the Rev William John Treloar went to a Methodist Church Conference held in London and met the Lord Mayor of London, Sir William Purdie Treloar, who opened the Conference. It is believed that the Rev W.J. Treloar was President of the Victorian and Tasmania Conference of the Bible Christian Church. Children from this marriage were: 1 i. Annie Lilian TRELOAR was born in 1887 in Castlemaine, VIC. Annie married Henry John PEARSON in 1908 in Castlemaine, VIC. ii. Garfield Henry TRELOAR was born on 7 Jun 1889 in Terang, VIC and died on 11 Jul 1962 in Sydney, NSW, at age 73. iii. Marion Gladys TRELOAR was born on 9 Feb 1891 in Clunes, VIC and died on 7 May 1961 in Sandringham, VIC, at age 70. iv. Albert Ormond TRELOAR was born in 1892 in Clunes, VIC, died on 30 May 1965, at age 73, and was buried on 1 Jun 1965 in Fawkner, VIC. Albert married Ella Ann Dormer GLOVER in 1916 in VIC. Ella was born about 1892 and died on 27 Jan 1971 in Fawkner, VIC, about age 79. 1 v. Cordelia TRELOAR was born on 30 Apr 1894 in Creswick, VIC and was buried on 14 May 1894 in Creswick, VIC (2 Wks). vi. Rita Irene TRELOAR was born in 1897 in Creswick, VIC. Rita married Cecil William Willard GRAHAM in 1923 in VIC. 1 vii. Arthur Gladstone TRELOAR was born in Aug 1898 in Creswick, VIC, died on 20 Jan 1899 in Creswick, VIC, and was buried on 21 Jan 1899 in Creswick, VIC. viii. Maryanne TRELOAR was born in 1903 in VIC. William next married Louisa Jane MATTHEWS on 28 Jun 1905 in Ballarat, VIC. Louisa Jane MATTHEWS died on 11 Dec 1959 in Caulfield, VIC. Children from this marriage were: i. William Reginald TRELOAR born in 1908 in St Kilda, VIC. F ii. Valerie Mavis TRELOAR was born in 1913 in St Kilda, VIC. Valerie married George STEPHENS. George was born in Jeparit, VIC. Children from this marriage were: Helen STEPHENS. Kay STEPHENS.
