James Henry9 TRELOAR (Joseph8, Bennet7, James6, Bennet5, Thomas4, John3, Wearne2, John1 Werne TRELOWARTH),  son of Joseph Treloar and Susan Crase, b. 20 Feb. 1872 Ogden, Iowa; d. 27 Nov. 1951 Storm Lake, Iowa; md. 30 May 1900 Ogden, Iowa Christine EIBEY, b. 20 Aug. 1882 Troldhede, Denmark, dau. Chris Eibey and Caroline Johnson.

James Henry Treloar, Jim, as he was known in his younger years and "Pappy" in later years was one of the sterner looking Treloar boys, but there was a tender heart under that covering.

He lived for a time with his parents in Des Moines where he played football. He also attended country school in Boone County and Beaver Baptist Church. Farming was his occupation and he lived with Uncle Al and Aunt Lucy while farming before he was married. In conjunction with his farming he was a big cattle feeder and buyer. He was associated with his brother Bill and Abe Morgan in the Treloar Amusernent Co., Ogden, Iowa. Civic activities consisted of school board director and establishment of Marcy Mutual Telephone Co.

In March 1927 he left the farm and moved to Ogden, Iowa where he continued to buy stock. Later he discontinued this to become associated with the Iowa Highway Dept. He moved to Storm Lake, Iowa in 1930 where he was employed by his son-in-law in the Vilas and Co. Produce Plant. He continued working here until 1950 when he was forced to retire because of an accident in which he lost several fingers of his right hand.

Jim and Christine celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary May 30, 1950. Christine came to the U.S.A. at 2 years of age from Denmark.
