Emily8 TRELOAR (Bennet7, James6, Bennet5, Thomas4, John3, Wearne2, John1 Werne TRELOWARTH), dau. of Bennet Treloar and Ann Tremaine, b. 30 Sept. 1834 Cornwall, England; d. 9 Apr, 1908 Ames, Iowa; md. 25 Nov. 1852 Linden, Wisconsin WILLIAM TEMBY, b. 1 Jan. 1831 Cambourne, England; d. 8 June 1915 Ogden, Iowa, son of William Temby and Mary ............ William Temby had a sister, Susan, older than he and four brothers younger. He sailed for U.S.A. 28 Apr. 1846 via Bristol and Liverpool to New York. He was en route 5 weeks and arrived Joe Davis Co., Ill. 7 July 1846, went to Wisconsin 1 May 1849. His sister married OWEN SCOTT, July 1849, lived at Potosi, Grant Co., Wisconsin. William Temby and wife Emily moved to Iowa, Sept. 1868. William wrote a short autobiography the original of which is in the possession of Theo Swain, Boone Iowa and Orson lee Treloar had a copy which was to be left with his original papers at the Genealogy Library, Salt Lake City, Utah. The paper is very informative as to family history and events of the early midwest U.S.A.
