Eighth GenerationTo be found on Page 197 of Orson Lee Treloar's book (this page has been changed to reflect further research by Peter Treloar and others) Bennet8 TRELOAR (Bennet7, Bennet6, Bennet5, Thomas4, John3, Wearne2, John1 Werne TRELOWARTH) Orson wrote: "a miner, b. about 1800, d. 22 May 1866, age 66 at Union Work House, Bodmin, Cornwall, Eng.; death certified by Rebecca George; md before 1831. Much valuable information about this family was furnished by Joseph Treloar, deceased, of Kent, Wash. This family line can be extended by searching census 1841 and 1851 of Bodmin Dist. around Lanivet. Joseph thinks all these children probably were born and died at Bodmin." Since then research has shown: Bennet Treloar son of Bennet TRELOAR and Martha PHILP. bp. 10 Nov. 1799; proved by will of 1817; md Elizabeth HARRY 1 January 1824 at Tywardreath: Bennet TRELOAR and Elizabeth HARRY had the following family: i. John Harry TRELOAR md Susan WOOLWAY in Devon (7 children) ii. Nicolas Harry TRELOAR iii. Elizabeth TRELOAR b abt 1828 in Killhalland. iv. Bennet TRELOAR(not Benjamin as 1851 census index say) b. 1830 bp St Winnoweth; d. 30 Aug 1866 age 35, at Lanivet Church Town, near Bodmin, Mary Ann TRELOAR present at death; md; had 2 dau. and one son who drowned in Navy. It is believed that Bennet married Mary Ann SLEEMAN (not proven). v. Elizabeth Ann TRELOAR b. 1831 St Winnoweth. vi. Mary Ann TRELOAR b. 1835 bp. 14 Jun 1835 St Winnoweth. vii. William TRELOAR b. 1837, bp. 12 Feb 1837 at Tywardreath; d. 1900; md. firstly 27 Oct 1862 Mary RENFREE; md secondly 9 Feb 1865 Jane RENFREE. viii. Richard TRELOAR b. 1842.md. Serina/Selina JOHN. ix. Martha TRELOAR b. 1844. |
